Singapore Police enjoy their Reveal body cameras
Reveal RS3-SX body worn cameras are being mounted on the shoulders of Singapore’s police officers to assist in recording evidence of who, what, where, when, why and how a crime was committed.
“The BWCs will complement existing forensic methods to allow the police to piece together what actually happened at an incident,” explained Lau Peet Meng, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) in Singapore.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong police have found Reveal RS3-SX body worn cameras effective in reducing crime rates as the cameras also serve as a powerful deterrent to would-be offenders.
Reveal body worn cameras feature front facing screens which are a clear demonstration to the public that their actions and conduct are being recorded. This very often leads to an aggressive subject altering their behaviour when they can see themselves on the screen.
Both police forces also expected the Reveal body cams to instill a higher degree of transparency and accountability among the police in handling confrontational scenarios. Likewise to projects all over the world, the Reveal RS3-SX has also helped in reducing the number of complaints against police officers, increasing the public’s confidence in their policing actions.
