Opa Locka Police Department deploy Reveal body cameras
Earlier this year the Opa Locka Police Department deployed 30 D5’s, Smart Docks, and DEMS 360. This month, more D5’s will soon be deployed for their Code Enforcement Officers.
Code Enforcement is tasked to uphold and enforce codes and standards established by the City of Opa-Locka to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of all residents and visitors in the City.
Their Chief posted the above message on Facebook, explaining that the cameras have dramatically reduced false complaints against officers while demonstrating that they are a transparent, honest, and accountable law enforcement agency.
"We want to show the community that we're a very transparent, professional organization here to serve you," the Cheif said.
