Bremen Police equipped with Reveal body cameras
The police of the city-state Bremen, Germany, is rolling out 7 Reveal Bodycams to protect officers and collect evidence.
“We expect a deescalation in control situations, so that police officers do not get attacked or insulted” says Uwe Koslowsky of the police Bremen.
The cameras are being deployed on the so-called “disco-mile”, an area which faces plenty of conflicts.
Jochen Kopelke of the police union says that though the body cams are coming a bit late, this is a step in the right direction, and a vital component to help stop the attacks on police officers.
The footage will be deleted after two months, except those videos that are needed in court.
