M3 Logger

JPEGs, Bitmaps, PDFs and Word documents all catalogued in M3 Logger interfaceM3 Logger runs on preconfigured PCs with audio visual encoding plus image and document scanning capability.

When used in conjunction with HOLMES2, the M3 Logger is fully integrated with the HOLMES2 client interface.

Pre-existing electronic images and documents such as JPEGs, Bitmaps, PDFs and Word documents can all be catalogued using the same M3 Logger interface.

The material is sent to the M3 database and/or HOLMES2 and is immediately available for secured searching and viewing.

Video / Audio Logging

CTTV loggingPolice forces can work from live and previously encoded audio visual material.

Live sources can include VHS/DVD material of CCTV, crime scenes, surveillance and cameras in audio visual interviewing rooms.

At time of recording, specific moments in the material can be described using free text and structured categories which are later searchable. The media can be instantly played back providing huge time efficiencies over traditional methods of reviewing material.

Document Logging

There is a huge volume of paper documents associated with most major incidents. Whether it’s seized material such as telephone bills or documents created during the case preparation, they are of limited use if they cannot be found and searched easily.

M3 Logger accepts output from scanning and OCR computersBecause M3 is able to log files off an intranet network, a single Logger can accept the output from any number of scanning and OCR computers.

This architecture is extremely cost effective because the Logger is not being tied up during the OCR and proofreading process. Also any investment in scanning capability doesn’t require further M3 licences.

M3 Image Logger

Web enabled Image LoggingDigital files such as JPEGs, Bitmaps and GIFs can be logged from any local or network source.

Images can also be scanned directly into M3 by selecting the scanning facility. This will open the scanning device and software that is attached to the M3 Logger.

Once the scan is complete, the image can be described and catalogued in the same way as any other file.
